Steve is a revenue enhancement and operations executive and change agent with broad industry experience (including hospitality, travel and financial services) in both the US and UK. He has a strong record of success building and leading large teams- and dramatically transforming their performance and morale.
Before launching Rockpoint Business Solutions, Steve provided dynamic leadership to various sales, service and operations organizations at American Airlines (in both the U.S. and U.K.), Capital One and Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd., driving millions of dollars of productivity enhancements and revenue gains.
During his tenure at RCCL, Steve held two significant leadership roles at Royal Caribbean, during which he deepened his operational and revenue expertise:
First, as Vice President of the newly created Guest Sales and Service organization, Steve led all of the Celebrity Cruises brand’s guest-facing teams – encompassing Direct-to-Consumer Sales, Onboard Sales, Digital/Web Marketing, Celebrity’s Captain’s Club Loyalty Program, Shipboard/Shoreside Guest Service, and the Celebrity Vacations business- which packages cruise and land vacations. Steve’s 300+ organization leveraged the strong synergies between the above teams to provide best-in-class engagement, sales and service to Celebrity’s guests.
Most recently, Steve served as Vice President of Onboard Revenue for the Royal Caribbean International brand, reporting to the President/CEO. In that capacity, Steve led all of Royal Caribbean’s onboard revenue centers- including Casino, Shops, Spa, Art, Internet, Photo, Special Events and Onboard Sales. Steve’s highly integrated team drove global initiatives to help provide Royal Caribbean’s guests with a seamless, high-touch cruise vacation experience while driving record onboard revenue yields.
Steve has also been involved with the successfully start-up of two other small businesses. From those experiences, Steve has become laser-focused on providing consultative solutions and extraordinary service to his clients, while quickly and incisively transforming their operational efficiency and top-line revenue.
Steve earned a Master of Business Administration from the Fuqua School of Business, Duke University in North Carolina and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York.
Currently residing in Miami, Steve is a proud native of New York City, an experienced marathoner/triathlete and enjoys golf, travel and the arts. Steve is an active member/supporter of the Miami City Ballet.
